Description of the Area:
“I worship Jesus … If you kill my body, today my soul will be with Him in paradise.” Chang Shen, also known as Blind Chang, was known to locals as “Wu so pu wei te” which means, “one who has no amount of good in him.”

The Lord used Blind Chang to bring many to Himself. Later in life, Chang Shen was killed because of his stand for Jesus Christ and not Buddha. During his life, he had not only memorized several books from the Old Testament, but also the entire book of Psalms and all of the New Testament! “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong” (1 Corinthians 1:27).

Description of the Operation:
Knowing God through His Word — that was the hallmark of Blind Chang’s witness. He could stand firm in his belief in the Savior because of what he had read of Him. He knew the promises of God — by heart!

Many in China today cannot hide the Word of God in their hearts. They cannot read about the promises of God. Why? Because they do not have the Word of God. There are not enough Bibles for the people in China who want them. Others do not want to risk going to the state-sanctioned churches to obtain one. Many of our Chinese brothers and sisters in Christ risk imprisonment to bring Bibles into their country.
