Description of the Area:
Ten college students in North Korea were arrested recently for reading the Bible and watching a gospel video. This bold group was also distributing Bibles and videos to students at other colleges and to friends.

The reality is that no one in North Korea is free. Worship of the country’s president, Kim Jong Il, is compulsory. North Koreans are taught to believe that he is the only god that exists.

But there are people in North Korea who have seen and heard the truth. The Lord continues to make himself known to North Koreans. His spirit moves through family members, neighbors and even strangers in the United States who partner with VOM to send gospels to the “Hermit Kingdom.”

Description of the Operation:
You can join in this mighty movement of God by partnering with VOM’s Bibles Unbound ministry in a new virtual operation to North Korea. You can sponsor New Testaments, and the Bibles Unbound staff will distribute them to North Koreans for you. Because of the sensitivity of this operation, we cannot release the names and addresses of the recipients or the methods of distribution, but you will receive a final report once the operation has been completed. Also, you will be able to view names that represent the bold believers who distribute the Bibles. You can use these names to pray for their safety and success.

The Apostle Paul knew what real suffering was, and yet he wrote, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:17–18)
